Diligence Scorecard
Team
- Is the right team in place to drive the idea?
- What is your prior experience in this space?
- Do you have a track record of returning value to shareholders?
Idea/Industry
- How does your company/idea fit within the current industry?
- Is it compelling against the landscape?
Acceptance
- Is your company/idea currently accepted in the market?
- If not, would some realistic changes allow it to be?
Competition
- How does your company/idea fare in the competitive landscape?
- Do you believe it has the potential to compete aggressively?
Timing
- How does this opportunity fare in the current market cycle?
- Is now the right time to invest in such a company/idea?
Investment and Required IRR
- What level of investment is needed for this opportunity to realize?
- What level of IRR is required (both monetary and non-monetary)?
Uncertainty
- What uncertainties exist with this idea that would provide caution in making an investment?
